RadioCPRA Friday the 13th show was chock full of birthday salutes to those still with us — Stevie Wonder, Danny Kirwan and Overend Watts, among them — and those who are not — Mary Wells and Ritchie Valens. The appearance at a festival Saturday by Blondie and Grimes brought music from both of them. An upcoming show by Graham Parker got a plug as well.

And music was heard from some who were just here playing shows — Chris Isaak, Loudon Wainwright III and Iris DeMent, with whom we closed. But there was also a little set in honor of those who came to this evening’s Nordic White House state dinner.
