Started with some great old songs fro John Prine, who is coming to town next week, and continued with Alejandro Escovedo (who’s in town tonight), Peter Wolf (who is also on his way), Charles Bradley (ditto) and even New Edition (though they are headlining a jazz festival somehow).
Sampled a good deal of PJ Harvey’s new album, “The Hope Six Demolition Project,” since she researched and wrote half of it about the problems of D.C. Then played some more of Bob Dylan’s surprisingly listenable new album of standards, paired with a bunch of his classics since he turned 75 this week.
