A big question at the TV Critics Association winter press tour is how the presidential election has affected programming.
It happens directly tonight on “Black-ish” (ABC, 9:30 p.m.), which reacts to the outcome as Junior delivers Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
To celebrate winter, a new “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) looks at the chilly lives of polar bear, arctic fox, the bison, the reindeer, the lynx, the weasel and the penguin in an episode called “Snowbound: Animals of Winter.”
A new “Nova” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) checks back at the Fukushima nuclear disaster five years ago.
The third season begins for “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” (Bravo, 10 p.m.) with Lisa Edelstein’s Abby joining Jake to raise Becca’s abandoned baby.
“Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” (TBS, 10:30 p.m.), which returns in time to handle incredible turns in the transition, has its own transition: settling in on a new day. Tonight’s new episode also looks at the Obama administration deportation and detainment policies.
Brett Gelman provides the voice of a man with extraterrestrial roomies on the new animated show “Jeff & Some Aliens” (Comedy Central, 10:30 p.m.).
The new Spanish-language series “Nino Santo” (NBC Universe, 10 p.m.) looks at the clash between modern medicine and mystic healing in Southern Mexico.
Malcolm-Jamal Warner guest stars on “Lethal Weapon” (Fox, 8 p.m.), identified as a big hit for its network.
Barack Obama gave his final public speech Tuesday; Michelle Obama makes her final late night talk show appearance tonight on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” (NBC, 11:35 p.m.), with one of her favorite entertainers as musical guest, Stevie Wonder.
“Workaholics” (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.) returns for its seventh and final season.
Back for its third season is “Schitt’s Creek” (Pop, 8 p.m.).
