Katherine Heigl’s legal drama “Doubt” (CBS, 8 p.m.) was the biggest miss of the TV season — pulled from the schedule after just two showings in February. Now it’s back, to burn off the other episodes shot in the series that also starred Laverne Cox, Dule Hill and Steven Pasquale.
In the 90-minute season finale of “Doctor Who” (BBC America, 8:30 p.m.), which is also the farewell to Peter Capaldi in the role (at least until the christmas episode), the doctor makes his stand against an army of Cybermen. Perhaps more importantly, it’s the last from Stephen Moffatt, who revived the series so successfully.
