“The Providers” looks at a trio of country doctors in rural New Mexico, who care for patients regardless of their ability to pay. It makes its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).
Another documentary, “White Boy” (Starz, 9 p.m.) looks into the case of a teenage suburban Detroit teen who was convicted of drug dealing, but who began down that road as a police informant. It was the basis of last year’s film, “White Boy Rick.”
The NCAA men’s basketball tournament ends with its championship game, Texas Tech vs. Virginia (CBS, 9 p.m.).
Olivia Vinall stars as a detective whose aunts want to help out in her cases in the limited series “Queens of Mystery” (Acorn TV, streaming).
A new streaming service makes its bow, filling the void caused by the demise of Filmstruck last year. Criterion Channel concentrates on the more than a thousand art films in its collection and that of Janus films. The movie of the week, for example, is a double feature of John Woo’s “Last Hurrah for Chivalry” (Criterion, streaming) and Jacques Demy’s “The Umbrellas of Cherbourg” (Criterion, streaming). There’s a free 14-day trial available.
The other half of the Top 20 on “American Idol” (ABC, 8 p.m.) sing duets with Chris Isaak, Ben Harper, Lukas Graham and others.
Battle rounds continue on “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.), which has its own guest stars, Charlie Puth, Brooks + Dunn, Kelsea Ballerini and Khalid.
