McGovern is not the only talent from “Downton Abbey”; the piece is also written by its Julian Fellowes and directed by Michael Engler. It also stars Blythe Danner Campbell Scott and Geza Rohrig.

Every Hallmark Christmas movie is a sequel to the last one. They may all be the same movie actually. But “Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is an actual sequel about the woman (Ali Liebert) who ran over a a guy (Peter Porte) with her bicycle, and he got amnesia. Action picks up a year later — at Christmastime!
“Christmas 9 to 5” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) sounds like an almost modest plan, compared to the 24-hours-a-day holiday movie scheduling of more than a couple of cable networks. This one is about a reporter signed to covering the holiday.
In yet another holiday romances, Alicia Witt stars as a country star accused of plagiarizing her Yuletide single in “Our Christmas Love Song” (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, 8 p.m.). Her solution: going home, running into an old flame (Brendan Hines) and finding out what’s important in life.
