A compendium of the “iHeart Radio Music Festival Greatest Moments” (CW, 8 p.m.) features performances from Prince with Mary J. Blige from 2012, as well as Miley Cyrus and Billy Idol, Taylor Swift, Pink, Britney Spears, Shawn Mendes, Queen and Fun.
A second season comes for “You” (Netflix, streaming) the notable thriller that began life on Lifetime but picked up its audience by streaming. Penn Badgley returns but has another woman to stalk played by Victoria Pedretti.
There was no Christmas special again this year, but there is a notable episode of “Doctor Who” (BBC America, 9 p.m.) tonight — one from 1967 that starred the second doctor, Patrick Troughton. Thought forever lost in a BBC purge, it was preserved in a new form with the help of animators working with surviving audio. A new episode, with the 13th Doctor, Jodie Whittaker, comes on New Year’s Day.
“The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition” (ABC, 9 p.m.) is still baking away.
Enough with the Christmas specials, here’s “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown” (ABC, 8 p.m.). It was made 20 years after “Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown,” but is still 33 years old.
In the new animated series “Fast & Furious Spy Racers” (Netflix, streaming) kids are recruited to infiltrate an elite racing league that’s a front for criminals.
“Homestead Rescue” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) returns for a third season.
The final two episodes of “The Moodys” (Fox, 9 p.m.) are replayed before the holidays are over.
“Floribama Shore” (MTV, 8 p.m.) goes to the St. Pete Pride Festival.
“Ex on the Beach” (MTV, 9 p.m.) reaches the Sauna of Secrets.
The month-long salute to Joan Blondell on Turner Classic Movies concludes with “The Cincinnati Kid” (8 p.m.), “The Opposite Sex” (10 p.m.), “This Could Be the Night” (12:15 a.m.), “Angel Baby” (2:15 a.m.) and “Advance to the Rear” (4:15 a.m.). Earlier in the day are movies about various young people: “Young Mr. Lincoln” (8 a.m.), “Young Bess” (9:45 a.m.), “Young Cassidy” (11:45 a.m.), “Young Winston” (1:45 p.m.) and “Young Catherine” (4:30 p.m.).
Basketball includes San Antonio at Dallas (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Portland at Utah (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).
In college football, it’s Louisiana Tech vs. Miami (ESPN, 4 p.m.) in the Independence Bowl and Pittsburgh vs. Eastern Michigan (ESPN, 8 p.m.) in the Quick Lane Bowl.
