Seventeen years after it went off the air, the women of “Sex and the City” (or most of them) return as women in their 50s for the 10-episode “And Just Like That” (HBO Max, streaming), with Carrie Bradshaw turning from writer to podcaster, Charlotte as a mom and Cynthia as an attorney. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are all back as are supporting actors Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, Evan Handler, Willie Garson and David Eigenberg. But not Kim Cattrall.
They didn’t make episodes available for review in advance, but signs point to the fact that it won’t be as good as say, “The Sex Lives of College Girls” (HBO Max, streaming), which reaches its first season finale tonight and has been renewed for a second season.
Jodie Turner-Smith stars as “Anne Boleyn” (AMC+, streaming) in a three-part limited series on the Henry VIII wife.
The latest installment of the “Music Box” documentary series looks at Robert Stigwood, the manager of Eric Clapton and The Bee Gees who also produced “Saturday Night Fever” in “Mr. Saturday Night” (HBO, 8 p.m.).
Betsy Brandt and Kyle Richards star in the holiday film “The Housewives of the North Pole” (Peacock, streaming), though that’s the name of the Vermont town where they live, not Santa’s place.
“Trolls: Trollstopia” (Hulu, Peacock, streaming) returns for a fifth season on two streaming services.
