The latest in an era of reboots is the “How I Met Your Mother” variant “How I Met Your Mother” (Hulu, streaming). While it seems a natural progression for the pleasant TV personality who stars, Hilary Duff, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of laughs as its own gang is assembled (and the guessing game begins) among Chris Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley and Tien Tran. Kim Catrell may have dodged a bullet by avoiding the “Sex and the City” reboot “…And Just Like That,” she serves as the narrator, far into the future (just as the recently passed Bob Saget was narrator of “How I Met Your Mother”).

At a time when Broadway attendance is taking a dive and shows are closing due to the omicron variant, here’s a look at all the hope they had when Broadway reopened a lot of big shows after months of closure on “Great  Performances” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).

The new, three-episode true crime documentary series “The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman” (Netflix, streaming) tracks a man who pretended to be a British spy and bilked money from a number of families.

A spin-off special of its animated kids series “Mighty Express: Train Trouble” (Netflix, streaming) concerns a hostile takeover of Mission Station.

“Naomi” (CW, 9 p.m.) enlists her friends in order to figure out what exactly is going on.

Clark is having visions on “Superman & Lois” (CW, 8 p.m.).

“Our Kind of People” (Fox, 8 p.m.) ends its first season with a two hour finale.
