Because she’s 96, Queen Elizabeth II isn’t expected to attend the big Party at the Palace (ABC, 8 p.m.) today as part of her Platinum Jubilee. But Diana Ross, Nile Rodgers and Queen (the band) with Adam Lambert singing lead will all perform and Elton John will provide a pre-recorded set. Sir David Attenborough, David Beckham and Julia Reynolds will all appear in the two-hour prime time version, and there will also be performances from Hans Ziimmer, Elbow and George Ezra.
Speaking of Attenborough, he’ll also be narrating the latest episode of “Planet Earth: Dynasties II” (BBC America, 8 p.m.) about a cheetah in Zambia.
