The most consequential season finale this year will be the final report of The House Select Committee Investigation the Jan. 6 Attack (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, CSPAN, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox Business, 1 p.m.). An executive summary of the finding of a year’s investigation and hundreds of interviews is expected as well as a potentially explosive referrals for the Department of Justice, the House Ethics Committee and campaign finance watchdogs.
Programming gets weird the closer it gets to Christmas. One broadcast network fills the final two weeks of the year with an adaptation of a British game show, “The Wheel” (NBC, 10 p.m.) in which trivia contestants are aided by celebrities who help out on answers, such as tonight, Mark McGrath, Todrick Hall, Steve Kornacki, Christina Ricci, Cat Cora and Amber Ruffin. Michael McIntyre hosts. Hope you like it, because it will be on every night this week through Thursday and Monday through Friday next week.
Their season ended last week, but tonight they have further building as they begin their own three-night four episode special: “LEGO Masters: Celebrity Holiday Bricktacular” (Fox, 8 p.m.)
The British Bakeoff queen stars in a new special about her favorite holiday dishes on “Mary Berry’s Ultimate Christmas” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings).
Will and Lyra go into the Land of the Dead in search of Roger on “His Dark Materials” (HBO, 9 p.m.).
