What they created was an electronic cigarette so sleek it attracted young people who would have never smoked anyway — with a device whose nicotine was all the more addictive. R.J. Cutler’s documentary series “Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul” (Netflix streaming) is well paced, with key interview subjects, nifty illustrations when they didn’t have a lot of film and all too many kids sharing their addicting puffs on social media. It’s a savvy history of something that came and went only in the last 10 years. 

A teenage outcast has the power to generate illusions in the Spanish movie “Awareness” (Prime Video, streaming).
