Spain’s acclaimed drama about a 1972 Uruguayan rugby team plane crash in the Andes and what they have to do to survive, “Society of the Snow” (Netflix, streaming), makes its debut. It’s the country’s’s entry as foriegn Academy Award. 

A Twiwanese mobster hides out in Los Angeles to protect his mother (Michelle Yeoh) and clueless brother in the new comedy/action series “The Brothers Sun” (Netflix, streaming).

“Sanctuary: A Witches Tale” (Sundance Now, AMC+, streaming) is a new series based on V.V. James’ novel about witches in contemporary society, in this case an English town named Sanctuary. Elaine Cassidy, Max Lohan and Hazel Doupe star.  

A long running daytime show gets a nighttime spotlight on “General Hospital: 60 Years of Stars and Storytelling” (ABC, 10 p.m.). 

It’s not quite a debate, but two consecutive editions of a “CNN Republican Presidential Town Hall” (CNN, 9 and 10 p.m.) are held; the first with Ron DeSantis, the second with Nikki Haley. 

The special “Legends of the Stagecoach” (INSP, 8 p.m.) looks at that early mode of Western transportation.

Astid and James are called into school and end up arguing parenting styles on “Children Ruin Everything” (CW, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Hudson & Rex” (UPtv, 8 p.m.), the Canadian drama about a cop and his dog, returns for its fifth season. 

An unusual form of therapy is suggested to treat Bash’s PTSD on “Transplant” (NBC, 9 pm.). 

“Swamp People” (History, 9:30 p.m.) returns for its 15th season, while “Swamp Mysteries” (History, 9:30 p.m.) is back for its second.

Chef Ramsay hands out the black jackets on “Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.). 

“SEAL Team” (CBS, 10 p.m.) accompanies British forces in a new episode. 

Mark prepares to meet the Pope on “Son of a Critch” (CW, 8 p.m.). 

On “Southern Hospitality” (Bravo, 9 p.m.), Maddi quits her job to become a DJ. 

George and City Anthony use devices inadmissible in court to tell their story of their daughter, acquitted of murdering her child, on the special “Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test” (A&E, Lifetime, 9 p.m.). It comes after another special “Casey’s Mom Speaks: crime Scene Confidential” (Investigation Discovery, 8 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies isn’t the usual place to find new work, but tonight begins a new sixi-part series, “The Power of Film” (8 and 11:15 p.m.) hosted by former UCLA professor Howard Suber. It plays alongside some of the movies he discusses: “A Place in the Sun” (9 p.m.), “Do the Right Thing” (12:15 a.m.), “City Lights” (2:30 a.m.) and “The Great Dictator” (4 a.m.).
