I was lucky to be in Europe the past two years when people watched the competition as if it were the Super Bowl. Now comes this year’s finale of the Eurovision Song Contest (Peacock, 3 p.m.), a good reason to celebrate. Fifty years after Abba emerged winning the competition, Sweden is hosting the event; Malin Akerman and Petra Mede host. U.S. viewers can even vote this year, and finalists include Bambie Thug from Ireland, above, as well as Olly Alexander from the UK, Windows95man from Finland, Raiven from Slovenia and Baby Lasagna from Croatia.
And that 1974 winner is profiled in the documentary “ABBA: Against the Odds” (CW, 8 pm.).
After a standout spot in “The Roast of Tom Brady” (Netflix, streaming) she gets her own standup special with a sobering title: “Nikki Glaser: Someday You’ll Die” (HBO, 10 p.m.).
“A Whitewater Romance” (Hallmark, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV movie starring Cindy Busby as a businesswoman who finds a new side of herself when she goes rafting — and founds an outdoorsy dude (Benjamin Hollingsworth).
Lisa Rinna stars opposite her daughter Delilah Hamlin in the made-for-TV thriller “Mommy Meanest” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.) about a teen who is cyberbullied by her own mother.
“Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins picks the films tonight on Turner Classic Movies, and she chooses some interesting ones, Terry Gilliam’s “The Fisher King” (8 p.m.) and Charlie Kaufman’s “Synecdoche, New York” (10:30 p.m.). The midnight noir is “Follow Me Quietly” (12:45 a.m.), followed by two Agatha Christie films, “Murder She Said” (2:15 a.m.) and “Murder at the Gallop” (4 a.m.). Earlier, the musical at midday is “Sweet Charity” (noon).
NBA Playoffs have Oklahoma City at Dallas (ABC, 3:30 p.m.) and in prime time, Boston at Cleveland (ABC, 8:30 p.m.).
Stanley Cup playoffs have Rangers at Carolina (TNT, 7 p.m.) and Dallas at Colorado (TNT, 10 p.m.).
Auto racing has the Purple Bag Project 200 (Fox Sports 1, 1:30 p.m.) and the Sonsio Grand Prix (NBC, 3:30 p.m.).
There is third round play in the Wells Fargo Championship (Golf, 1 p.m.; CBS, 3 p.m.).
In the IIHF hockey world championship, it’s Britain vs. Canada (NHL, 6 am.), Poland vs. Latvia (NHL, 10 a.m.) and U.S. vs. Germany (NHL, 2 p.m.).
UFL action has Memphis at Arlington (ESPN, 1 p.m.) and St. Louis at Birmingham (Fox, 4 p.m.).
The men’s NCAA lacrosse tournament has St. Joseph’s ant Virginia (ESPNU, noon), Utah at Duke (ESPNU, 2:30 p.m.), Michigan at Denver (ESPNU, 5 p.m.) and Princeton at Maryland (ESPNU, 7:30 p.m.).
