Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs, Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers, golfer Scottie Scheffler and Edmonton’s Connor McDavid are all up for best male athlete at tonight’s 2024 ESPYs (ABC, 8 p.m.); women nominees include Iowa star Caitlin Clark, tennis’ Coco Gauff, golfer Kelly Nord and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces. And Prince Harry will get a special award. Serena Williams hosts the event from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

From Turkey, “Another Self” (Netflix, streaming), about three friends in a seaside town, returns for a second season. 

The historical drama “Vikings: Valhalla” (Netflix, streaming) boats in for its third and final season. 

Shark Week continues with “Monster of Oz” (Discovery, 8 p.m.), “Caught! When Sharks Attack” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) and “Great White Danger Zone” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).

Elsewhere, there’s “Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie: Gulf” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.) and “When Sharks Attack .. and Why” (National Geographic, 10 p.m.). 

New seasons come for “Barnwood Builders” (Magnolia, 8 p.m.), “Christina on the Coast” (HGTV, 9 p.m.) and “Impractical Jokers” (TBS, 10 p.m.), the latter moving to a new network. 

Unwelcome visitors join “Alone” (History, 8 p.m.).

“Don’t Forget the Lyrics!” (Fox, 8 p.m.) forgets when to end; they have a two-hour episode, as do “The Real Housewives of Orange County” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

The 100th birthday of Eva Marie Saint last week continues to be celebrated on Turner Classic Movies with “All Fall Down” (8 p.m.), “Raintree County” (10 p.m.) and “The Sandpiper” (1 a.m.).  

During the day TCM has some Hollywood stories in the morning, with “Hollywood Party” (8 p.m.), “My Dream is Yours” (9:30 a.m.) followed by (mostly) musicals that had some animated components — “Invitation to the Dance” (11:30 a.m.), “Anchors Aweigh” (1:30 p.m.), “Dangerous When Wet” (4 p.m.) and “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” (6 p.m.).

WNBA action has Chicago at New York (Prime Video, 7 p.m.).
