The constant missteps of Hollywood has made it a reliable target for spoofing, most recently on HBO’s “The Franchise.” But rarely has there been a satire so sharp as “The Studio” (Apple TV+, streaming), starring Seth Rogen as the new head of a struggling studio, flanked by Ike Barinholtz as a colleague who thought he should have gotten the promotion, and Kathryn Hahn as a manic head of promotion. But the guest stars are everywhere including Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Ron Howard, and in the terrific pilot, Martin Scorsese playing himself. 

As great as the first. Episode is, however, the quality of each episode can be inconsistent.  Still, it’s got enough energy — and material — to go well beyond its 10 episodes. 

The new series “The Force of Nature” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings) shows how nature is helping mitigate the effects of growing carbon in the atmosphere. 

From Argentina comes the crime thriller “Caught” (Netflix, streaming), based on Harlen Coben’s book. 

The weird, photo-realistic and computer generated “Mufasa: The Lion King” (Disney+, streaming)

“The Conners” (ABC, 8 p.m.) begins its seventh and final season, with Roseanne barr’s character long gone, but still mentioned.

Barbara and Gregory have new roles at “Abbott Elementary” (ABC, 8:30 p.m.). 

“Chicago Med” (NBC, 8 p.m.) treats a woman who has been in a coma for 20 years; “Chicago Fire” (NBC, 9 p.m.) looks for justice; and “Chicago P.D.” (NBC, 10 p.m.) responds to a deadly incident at a local diner. 

“The Amazing Race” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) travels to Bali, Indonesia. 

A final renovation marks the end of the season for “Izzy Does It” (HGTV, 9 p.m.). 

“Good Cop/Bad Cop” (CWW, 9 p.m.) deals with an explosive sabotage attack. 

The head of a streetwear clothing brand turns up dead on “Wild Cards” (CW, 8 p.m.). 

“The Masked Singer” (Fox, 8 p.m.) has carnival night. Which means stuffed animal prizes for everybody. 

Game shows tonight include “The Floor” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and “Celebrity Jeopardy!” (ABC, 9 p.m.). 

On “Survivor” (CBS, 8 p.m.), a shared meal brings some deeper discussion. 

Trouble goes to great lengths to prove her loyalty on “All the Queen’s Men” (BET, 9 p.m.).

“Summer House” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) has a new girlfriend for Carl. 

A single mother joins the police department as a way to make a safer world for her daughter on the made-for-TV movie “Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.).

If the question is “My 600-Lb. Life: Where Are They Now?” (TLC, 8 p.m.), I’m thinking they couldn’t have gone far. 

A cocaine-filled boat near Puerto Rico is seized on “To Catch a Smuggler” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies’ month-long Wednesday night salute to Barbara Stanwyck concludes with “All I Desire” (8 p.m.), “There’s Always Tomorrow” (9:30 p.m.), “Executive Suite” (11:15 p.m.), “East Side, West Side” (1:15 a.m.), “These Wilder Years” (3:15 a.m.) and “To Please a Lady” (5 a.m.).

During the day are movies of spring — or at least movies with “spring” nominally in their title (and flowers too) with “Spring Fever” (6 a.m.), “Spring is Here” (7:30 a.m.), “Springfield Rifle” (8:45 a.m.), “The Saint in Palm Springs” (10:30 a.m.), “Palm Springs Weekend” (11:45 a.m.), “Rose Marie” (2:45 p.m.) and “Presenting Lily Mars” (4:30 p.m.). 

Basketball has Lakers at Indiana (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.) and Boston at Phoenix (ESPN, 10 p.m.). 

Hockey has New Jersey at Chicago (TNT, truTV, 10 p.m.) and Dallas at Edmonton (TNT, truTV, 10 p.m.). 

Men’s college basketball has Kent State at Loyola Chicago (ESPN2, 7 p.m.) and UAB at UC Irvine (ESPN2, 9 p.m.) in the NIT quarterfinals. 

The 2025 ISU World Figure Skating Championships (USA, 3 p.m.) begin in Boston.
