The one celebrated annual event where the red carpet is pretty much the point, the 2025 Met Gala gets an “E! Live from the Red Carpet” (E!, 8 p.m.), but, as usual, no televised coverage of the event inside. The theme this year is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Hosts are Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour; LeBron James serves as honorary chair. Hosts on E! are Zanna Roberts Rassi, Maria Taylor, Elaine Welteroth, Yvonne Orji and Christian Siriano. 

The new UK documentary “Britain and the Blitz” (Netflix, streaming) looks at Britain at during the Nazi blitz of World War II through restored archival footage. 

Three families confront Alzheimer’s in the documentary “Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s,” making its debut on “Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings). 

Connie Britton hosts the new six-episode series “The Motherhood” (Hallmark, 9 p.m.) in which she talks with struggling single mothers and connects them with experts who give them advice. 

“The Weeknight” (MSNBC, 8 p.m.) is the new addition to the network’s primetime lineup, hosted by Alicia Menendez, Michael Steele and Simon Sanders-Townsend. 

In the new crime series “Toxic” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.), journalist Elizabeth Chambers looks at destructive relationships. 

A fourth season starts for the mystery series “Harry Wild” (Acorn TV, streaming) with Jane Seymour and Rohan Nedd.

“Happy Face” (Showtime, 9 p.m.), the series about the daughter of a serial killer, with Annaleigh Ashford and Dennis Quaid, ends its first season. 

A number of series wrap their seasons tonight. On the longest-running of them, “NCIS” (CBS, 9 p.m.) ends its 22nd season finding a connection between the Nexus cartel and a mob boss played by Rebecca De Mornay. 

“All American” (CW, 8 p.m.) ends its seventh season with the big game between South Crenshaw vs. Beverly. 

Malcolm starts a new life in a different part of Los Angeles on the second of two episodes that constitute the seventh season finale of “The Neighborhood” (CBS, 8 p.m.). 

“The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) continues playoffs with mentors Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes. 

A 12th season starts for “Basketball Wives” (VH1, 8 p.m.), with former WNBA player Ty Young and model Ming Lee among new cast members. 

Holly Madison returns for the third season of “The Playboy Murders” (Investigation Discovery, 9 p.m.), which begins with the death of a casting assistant. 

“Below Deck Down Under” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) throws Circus Night, and it doesn’t go well. 

Maybe the baby will come at Christmas on “Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.).

“Spring Baking Championship” (Food, 8 p.m.) makes floating tropical fruit desserts. 

The top 8 perform songs selected by the judges on “American Idol” (ABC, 8 p.m.). 

“Contraband: Seized at the Border” (Discovery, 9 p.m.) finds guns and ammo in trucked toy boxes. 

Chefs must. Create appetizers by the time Martha’s roast chicken is done on “Yes, Chef!” (NBC, 10 p.m.). 

On “Paradise” (ABC, 10 p.m.), Xavier faces the consequences of his investigation. 

The missing riches of Genghis Knan are one of “History’s Greatest Mysteries” (History, 9 p.m.). 

“Holy Marvels with Dennis Quaid” (History, 10 p.m.) examines legendary beasts. 

Warring families clash on “MobLand” (Showtime, 8 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies is all Rogers and Hammerstein tonight with “Oklahoma!” (8 p.m.), “Carousel” (10:30 p.m.), “South Pacific” (12:45 a.m.) and “Flower Drum Song” (3:30 a.m.).
