If there was ever a band deserving a documentary telling its half-century story of art project mixed with wry humor and innovative electronics, it’s “Devo” (Netflix, streaming). Chris Smith’s documentary tells the Akron band’s story and its rise from Kent State killings, through its many memorable videos. 

The Dallas Cowboys’ rise in the 1990s is told in the new documentary series “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys” (Netflix, streaming). At the same time, “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills” (HBO, 9 p.m.) continues from this year’s preseason.

“Titans: The Best of Wall Street” (Netflix, streaming) is a documentary about the greedy bros who helped bring about the crash in the 1920s. 

A new season comes for the “Sister Boniface Mysteries” (BritBox, streaming) with Lorna Watson as the nun investigating crime in the Cotswolds in the mid 1960s. 

One of daytime TV’s biggest stars takes her talent to primetime in the four-part limited series “Songs & Stories with Kelly Clarkson” (NBC< 10 p.m.) in which she talks and performs with various artists. The first one she chooses, though, are the Jonas Brothers. 

“America’s Got Talent” (NBC, 8 p.m.) begins live shows, presenting the first 11 acts of 44 in the initial  with quarterfinal rounds. Viewers can vote; results come Wednesday. 

Game shows tonight include “The 1% Club” (Fox, 8 p.m.) and “The Snake” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

On “Dinner Time Live” (Netflix, 7 p.m.), chef David Chang cooks for celebrity guests, returns for a new season of live shows. 

Noah Hawley’s “Alien: Earth” (FX, 8 p.m.), set two years before the events of 1979’s film “Alien,” continues with its third episode. Its first two episodes premiered last week (and are available on Hulu).

Whitney goes to Salem on “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” (TLC, 9 p.m.). 

“Chopped” (Food, 8 p.m.) requires that cottage cheese be incorporated into an entree. 

Cheating accusations rise on “Live & Hip Hop: Atlanta” (MTV, 8 p.m.). 

The latest (and completed) season of “Love Island USA” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) has migrated to cable (and is up to episode 4). IT’s followed by a “Love Island USA: Season 6 Recap” (Bravo, 9:24 p.m.) for some reason.

A warming globe helps “Life Below Zero” (National Geographic, 9 p.m.). 

“Haunted Hospitals” (Travel, 9 p.m.) may be among the worst travel destinations. 

Dirtball culture is thoroughly covered in the backing to back “Mud Madness” (Discovery, 8 p.m.) and “Truck Dynasty” (Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

Hedy Lamarr is featured all day on Turner Classic Movies as part of their Summer Under the Stars, with “Lady of the Tropics” (6 a.m.), “Boom Town” (7:45 a.m.), “Comrade X” (10 a.m.), “I Take This Woman” (noon), “The Heavenly Body” (2 p.m.), “The Conspirators” (4 p.m.), “The Strange Woman” (6 p.m.), “Samson and Delilah” (8 p.m.), “Algiers” (10 p.m.), “The Female Animal” (midnight), “Her Highness and the Bellboy” (1:30 a.m.) and “H.M. Pulham, Esq.” (3:15 a.m.). 

Baseball includes Houston at Detroit (TBS, truTV, 6:30 p.m.) and San Francisco at San Diego (MLB, 9:40 p.m.).

WNBA action has Minnesota at New York (NBA, 7 p.m.) and Atlanta at Las Vegas (NBA, 10 p.m.).
