The show actually began in 1989, but in tonight’s season 37 premiere of “The Simpsons” (Fox, 8 p.m.), the ageless Lisa is excited about Marge’s vintage clothes from the 90s. The longest-running primetime scripted show kicks off the premieres of its other Sunday night animation roster, with the season 2 start of “Universal Basic Guys” (Fox, 8:30 p.m.), the third season of “Krapopolis” (Fox, 9 p.m.) and the 16th season premiere of “Bob’s Burgers” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.).

Playing opposite the 36th season premiere of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (ABC, 7 p.m., check local listings), “60 Minutes “ (CBS, 7:30 p.m.) is set to start its 58th (!) season, with a new executive producer and the pressures of the current administration.

That insidious pressure is covered, too, in a special report on the threat to the First Amendment on “The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper” (CNN, 9 p.m.).

Sunday Night Football has Green Bay at Dallas (NBC, 8:15 p.m.). Earlier games include Washington at Atlanta (CBS, 1 p.m.), Jacksonville at San Francisco (Fox, 4 p.m.) and Baltimore at Kansas City (CBS, 4:25 p.m.). 

Season finales come for public television’s imported murder mysteries, from “Professor T” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) to “The Marlow Murder Club” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings) and “Unforgotten” (PBS, 10 p.m., check local listings).

A winner is named on a two hour finale of “Big Brother” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.), after a summer of scheming. 

“Billy the Kid” (MGM, 9 p.m.) begins its third season.

The search for a mole within the team consumes the fourth episode of “Task” (HBO, 9 p.m.). Catch up with the earlier three episodes starting at 5:45 p.m.

“The Chicken Sisters” (Hallmark, 8 pm.) look at the aftermath of the storm. 

The building of a super stadium in L.A. is the subject of “How Did They Build That?” (Smithsonian, 9 p.m.).

What more is there to say about “Sister Wives” (TLC, 10 p.m.), returning for its 20th season. 

“Halloween Wars” (Food, 9 p.m.) break out, even though it’s not yet Halloween. 

A couple of musicals about orphans are on Turner Classic Movies, with “Annie” (8 p.m.) and “The Slipper and the Rose” (10:15 p.m.). The silent films at midnight has “Too Wise Wives” (12:45 a.m.), followed by Rainer Fassbender’s “World on a Wire” (2:15 a.m.). 

WNBA playoffs have Las Vegas at Indiana (ABC, 3 p.m.) and Minnesota at Phoenix (ESPN, 8 p.m.).

Preseason hockey has Vancouver at Edmonton (NHL, 8 p.m.).

Auto racing has the Hollywood Casino 400 (USA, 3 p.m.) and the NHRA Midwest Nationals (Fox Sports 1, 3 p.m.). 

Soccer includes Mexico vs. Brazil (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.) and Argentina vs. Cuba (Fox Sports 2, 7 p.m.).

It’s the final day of golf’s Ryder Cup (NBC, noon). 

Women’s college volleyball includes Arizona at Kansas State (ESPN, 1 p.m.) and Pittsburgh at SMU (ESPN, 8 p.m.).
