A young couple meets in Boston and there’s grisly murder that happens in “56 Days” (Prime Video, streaming). The new eight-episode series adapts Catherine Ryan Howard’s bestseller and transfers it out of a pandemic-struck Dublin and into the current day Massachusetts. It’s one of those series where we don’t even learn who’s been killed right away (though he’s first to look suspicious). Dove Cameron (“Descendants”) is the latest Disney Channel grad to get naked; she plays opposite a former Nickelodeon star, Avan Jogia (“Victorious”), who has since gone on to the “Resident Evil” franchise. 

There have already been at least 10 different series starring this guy in the last two decades — and seven of them are still running. Why not another? The new reality series “Being Gordon Ramsay” (Netflix, streaming) follows the chef turned TV star juggling family life and all those shows. 

Winter Games continue with the men’s snowboard slopestyle final (USA, 5:20 a.m.; NBC, 2:15 p.m.), men’s and women’s team freestyle skiing (USA, 6:45 a.m.; NBC, 12:45 p.m.), women’s slalom (USA, 7:30 a.m.), women’s aerials (USA, 10 a.m.; NBC, 1:30 p.m.), Canada vs. Czechia (USA, 10:40 a.m.) in men’s hockey, women’s biathlon relay (NBC, noon; USA, 3:45 p.m.), USA vs. Great Britain (USA, 1 p.m.) in women’s curling, men’s 500 meter and women’s relay finals (USA, 2:15 p.m.) and USA vs. Sweden (NBC, 3:10 p.m.) in men’s hockey, before the recaps on Primetime in Milan (NBC, 8 p.m.) and Olympic Late Night (NBC, 11:35 p.m.). 

The parenthood series on “Nature” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings) continues with some marine life. 

Calvin comes to terms with his breakup on “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” (BET, 8 p.m.). it’s followed by “Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living” (BET, 8:30 p.m.) and “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” (BET, 9 p.m.). He seems very possessive. 

“Alaska State Troopers” (A&E, 8 p.m.) go after a murder suspect; “Ozark Law” (A&E, 9 p.m.) chase underage drinkers; and “Desert Law” (A&E, 10 p.m.) is swimming in guns. 

Shep plans a healing trip to Mexico on “Southern Charm” (Bravo, 9 p.m.). 

“Ponies” (Bravo, 10 p.m.), the Peacock series about American spies in Moscow, starring Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, makes its debut on cable. 

A desperate family makes a tough decision on “The Beauty” (FX, 9 p.m.). 

“Work on the Wild Side” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.) checks the glucose level of some elephants. 

The search is on for a runaway boarding school student on “Dark Winds” (IFC, 10 p.m.). 

“Cheap A$$ Beach Houses” (HGTV, 9 p.m.) has its first season finale, possibly because prices have gone up. 

Demonic possessions on Trinidad are checked on “Expedition X” (Discovery, 9 p.m.). 

“Swamp People” (History, 8 p.m.) are still dealing with high water. 

Eating wet cat food for 20 years would certainly qualify for someone on “My Strange Addiction” (TLC, 8 p.m.). 

Turner Classic Movies’ Oscar movies tonight have to do with British subjects, “My Fair Lady” (8 p.m.), “The Remains of the Day” (11 p.m.), “Anne of the Thousand Days” (1:30 a.m.) and “Young Bess” (4:15 a.m.). 

During the day are Oscar winning or -nominated films about the stage, with “Morning Glory” (7:15 a.m.), “Stage Door” (8:30 a.m.), “Gold Diggers of 1933” (10:15 a.m.), “To Be or Not to Be” (noon), “Kiss Me Kate” (1:45 p.m.), “The Entertainer” (3:45 p.m.) and “The Boy Friend” (5:30 p.m.).
