If you’re old enough, the new animated series “Ricky Gervais’ Alley Cats” (Netflix, streaming) might look at first like the old “Top Cat.” Except this time, the gang of felines doesn’t pretend to do the voices of those on “The Phil Silvers Show” but are the actual voices of British comics riffing in the studio about lives as cats, if they spoke in extremely profane ways in English accents. In addition to Gervais, the familiar voices include that of Diane Morgan, known for her “Cunk” series.
It’s funny stuff, less off putting than Netflix’s other recent raunchy animal cartoon “Mating Season,” and softened slightly about the running ambition to help a kitten find his home (and Gervais’ old musings on death). Then there’s usually a nice pop song at the end.
Walter Moura of “The Secret Agent” and “Narcos” and Greta Lee (“Past Lives”) star in Louis Leterrier’s new sci-fi thriller “The Last House” (Netflix, streaming), about a family suddenly sealed inside their house with no way to get out.
Tracy Spiridakos of “Chicago P.D.” stars as park ranger “Anna Pigeon” (USA, 10 p.m.) in a new series from Lea Thompson (of “Back to the Future” fame), based on the books by Nevada Barr. Turns out there are crimes out int he wilderness as well. The premiere is simulcast on Syfy, and E!
From South Korea comes the romantic comedy “Our Sticky Love” (Netflix, streaming), about an ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory and moves in with a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend.
From India comes the action series “Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil War” (Netflix, streaming) about an Indian Air Force mission that became the world’s highest air operation.
The Spanish black comedy “Death, Inc” (Netflix, streaming), about turmoil at a funeral home, returns for its fourth season.
In the ick department, the new reality series “Age Inappropriate” (WeTV, 9 p.m.) is at least accurately titled. It follows a handful of couples where the age differential can be as high as 40, as it is with a 74 year old man and his 33-year-old wife; there’s also a 47 year old woman with a 28 year old man, a 40 year old man with a 60 year old woman, and a 24 year old woman with a 50 year old husband, and a 60 year 0ld man with a 9-year-old wife.
After five seasons and 47 episodes the spinoff “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” (Starz, 8 p.m.), starring Mekai Curtis, comes to an end with the series finale.
The season finale comes for “Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” (HBO, 9 p.m.). Larry David’s hit-or-miss parody of chapters of American history.
“Mysteries From Above” (History, 10 p.m.) ends its season finding weird things in faraway places.
If you’re looking for an episode of the four-days a week competition to skip, it’s definitely “Big Brother: Unlocked” (CBS, 8 p.m.).
“The Secret Lives of Suburban Housewives” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.) is a made-for-TV thriller about a neighborhood rattled by a shocking death.
Arctic ice is a problem on “Deadliest Catch” (Discovery, 8 p.m.).
“Belle Collective” (OWN, 8 p.m.) continues its reunion.
Women have dates with the men they once cheated with on “Put a Ring on It: Cheatlab” (OWN, 9 p.m.).
“Totally Funny Animals” (CW, 9 p.m.) has another couple of episodes.
