Django UnchainedA couple of Oscar nominated films are likely to be recognized at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards.

“Django Unchained,” which won best original screenplay Oscar for Quentin Tarantino last month, is nominated for the most MTV Movie Awards, with seven; another Academy Award contender, “Silver Linings Playbook,” which won a best actress Oscar for Jennifer Lawrence, isn’t far behind with six MTV nominations.

But a lot of the other nominated films are more like the usual fare for the cable movie awards show — things that did well at the box office but were never singled out for artistic success. A prime example is “Ted,” the comedy by Seth MacFarlane, who fell flat as Oscars host; it’s tied with “Django” for most nominations with seven. “The Dark Knight Rises” has five. “The Avengers,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Pitch Perfect” and “Skyfall” each have four nominations.

Fans can votes for the awards through April 13. The MTV Movie Awards run April 14 at 9 p.m.

Rebel Wilson of “Pitch Perfect” hosts the event, where Will Ferrell will win a special award. Some of its other odd categories include Best Fight, Best Kiss, Best Shirtless Performance and Best WTF Moment.
