jenniverLoveThe police are at Riley’s house as the second season starts for “The Client List” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.). So maybe the season won’t last too long for Jennifer Love Hewitt about a mom who turns trick at the massage parlor to help her household income.

Actually lots of things happen in the season premiere that may change the show, which is paced as a soap opera, except with the occasional blue joke (and next to no sex).

She’s one of several women heading shows from the other side of the law, including the new “Red Widow” (ABC, 10 p.m.) and “Revenge” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

The new “Client List” accompanies a far more sober season opener for “Army Wives” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.), mourning the loss of one of its own. Brooke Shields, Torry DeVitto and Ashanti all join the cast this season.

On the second episode of “The Bible” (History, 8 p.m.) Sampson is betrayed by Delilah, Joshua conquers Jericho and David has a meeting with a guy named Goliath. Spoiler alert. Don’t mix it up with Mark Burnett’s other Sunday night show, “The Celebrity Apprentice” (NBC, 9 p.m.), whose project tonight is at Universal Orlando. Who can watch two hours of “The Apprentice”? And if you wanted to sit through last week’s premiere you’d be tuning in at 7 and watching four hours!

Rick and the Governor finally sit down to talk on “The Walking Dead” (AMC, 9 p.m.).

Could things actually work out between Adam and his new girlfriend on “Girls” (HBO, 9 p.m.). Of course not.

Flanders socks Homer on a new episode of “The Simpsons” (Fox, 8 p.m.) that begins with a Bill Plympton couch gag.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) don’t ever seem to be in Atlanta. Tonight, they travel from Hollywood to Las Vegas.

A worker at the New England Compounding Center, accused of distributing tainted steroids that killed 48 and made 700 more sick, talks to “60 Minutes” (CBS, 7 p.m.).

Stars from all different sports are considered to determine the best one overall on “ESPN Sport Science: Greatest Athlete of All Time” (ESPN, 3:30 p.m.), hosted by John Brenkus.

“CMT News Presents: Mindy McCready Fallen Angel” (CMT, 8 p.m.) recounts the troubled life of the late country star.

A happier story is told in the series “Song by Song: Dolly Parton” (Ovation, 8 p.m.), the series that tells a biography through the best known songs, a process first used on Johnny Cash. Parton’s tale begins with her biggest songs, “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.”

The special “Myth, Lies and Complete Stupidity” (Fox News, 8 p.m.) indicates that the network may just now be starting to accurately title its product.

A couple of films starring Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr play back to back: “Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison” (TCM, 8 p.m.) and “The Sundowners” (TCM, 10 p.m.).
