And to think this town’s name will now be more associated with this ugly case than the fact that it is, for example, Dean Martin’s birthplace.

On the other network newsmagazine tonight, Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, his brother Ari, the famous agent, and Zeke, a bioethisist who wrote a book about the three of them, are interviewed by the host of “Rock Center with Brian Williams” (NBC, 10 p.m.).

Designs that look good on every body shape is the goal on tonight’s “Fashion Star” (NBC, 8 p.m.).

A new season starts for “Tanked” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.), the first assignment is for the director and producer of “Jackass: The Movie” (VH1, 8 p.m.).

“Target Presents the iHeart Radio Album Release Party with Justin Timberlake” (The CW, 8 p.m.) gets a same-week rerun, in part because they couldn’t quite fit the whole title when they first aired it on Tuesday. In it, the slightly overexposed pop star performs and is interviewed by Ryan Seacrest.

Animated features tonight include “Up” (Disney, 8 p.m.) and “Megamind” (FX, 7 and 9 p.m.). And you can watch “X-Men: The Last Stand” (Fox Movie Channel, 8 p.m.), “X-Men: First Class” (HBO2, 10 p.m.) as well as the unrelated “X Games: Tignes” (ESPN, 7 p.m.).

The monthlong Friday night salute to director Roberto Rossellini continues with “L’ Amore” (TCM, 8 p.m.), “Flowers of St. Francis” (9:30 p.m.) and “The Machine That Kills Bad People” (11 p.m.).

Later comes a couple of auto films from the 70s, with Peter Fonda and Susan George in “Dirty Mary Crazy Larry” (TCM, 2 a.m.) and Mark Hamill and Annie Potts star in the 1978 “Corvette Summer” (3:45 p.m.).
