Psychic-Tia-350x231Once a New Jersey police detective Tia Belle began relying more on her intuition skills as she became a medium, psychic and now, the newest reality TV personality.

From what looks to be a mall Halloween shop, she connects the dead to loved ones and knows more than she should, while being a loudmouth in that “Real Housewives of New Jersey” way (not surprisingly she has advised them as well).

Haley is her assistant, a former Miss North Carolina who may have lost her way.“Psychic Tia” (A&E, 10 p.m.) is mostly the network’s way to counter TLC’s “Long Island Medium.” She may be on her way: One of her first readings is from Richard Pryor’s son.

“Rise of the Guardians” (HBO, 8 p.m.) the computer animated fantasy with the voices of Hugh Jackman as the Easter Bunny and Alec Baldwin as Santa Claus, makes its premium cable debut as does “Step Up Revolution” (Showtime, 9 p.m) with Ryan Guzman, “The Odd Life of Timothy Green” (Starz, 9 p.m.) with Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton; and Michael Apted’s “Chasing Mavericks” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.), about the life of surfer Jay Moriarty, with Gerard Butler and Elisabeth Shue.

When the final two episodes of a series airs, they might call it an event. Instead the last ever episodes of “Zero Hour” (ABC, 8 and 9 p.m.) are more like last gasps. Not quite done burning off episodes: “Do No Harm” (NBC, 10 p.m.).

Weird sports start to invade prime time during the summer. By this I don’t so much mean the International Champions Cup Soccer (Fox, 8 p.m.) of Everton vs. Real Madrid as “Wrestlemania: The World Television Premiere” (NBC, 9 p.m.) featuring the rematch of The Rock and John Cena in Jersey. It follows an episode about the 20 contestants competing in the Venice finals of “American Ninja Warriors” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

It would be natural to name the 12th Doctor Who during a new episode of “Being Human” (BBC America, 10 p.m.). But the network is waiting until Sunday at 2 p.m. for the international announcement.

Susan Lucci returns to host the new season of “Deadly Affairs” (Investigation Discovery, 10 p.m.).

Alec Guinness is the star all day on Turner Classic Movies with “The Ladykillers” (noon), “A Majority of One” (1:45 p.m.), “Doctor Zhivago” (4:30 p.m.), “Lawrence of Arabia” (8 p.m.) and “Kind Hearts and Coronets” (midnight), “The Scapegoat” (2 a.m.) and “Hotel Paradiso” (4 a.m.).

This year’s class is inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction (ESPN2, 7 p.m.) from Canton, Ohio.

Fleet Foxes harmonize on a rerun of “Austin City Limits” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). It comes after another music special, “Gloria Estefan: The Standards” (PBS, 8 p.m., check local listings).

Claire Danes said this week she never did see Anne Hathaway’s impersonation of her on “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.), though her friend apologized profusely for it beforehand. She has another chance tonight, as it is rerun, with Rihanna as musical guest.
