Thursday: Blotto Anchor vs. Rockin’ Eve

Patti LaBelle, Audra McDonald, Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Denyce Graves, Joshua Bell, Josh Groban, Juanes, are among those performing before a small, socially-distanced audience at Mount Vernon for the program “United in Song: Celebrating the Resilience of America” (PBS, 8 and 9:30 p.m., check local listings). 

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager review the past year in the two hour special “New Year’s Eve: Escape from 2020” (NBC, 8 p.m.). 

“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” (Netflix, streaming), with Kiernan Shipka, returns for a fourth season. 

In the English import “Cleaning Up” (Sundance Now, streaming), Sheridan Smith plays a cleaning woman in London’s financial center who overhears a stock tip that may turn her life around. 

“The Real Housewives of Dallas” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) returns for a fifth season. 

The new series “Fear Thy Roommate” (Investigation Discovery, 8 p.m.) looks at true crime cases that have erupted among roomies. 

The made-for-TV thriller “Stalked by My Husband’s Ex” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.) pretty well explains its plot in the title. Alex McKenna and Juliana Dever star. 

Big numbers from musicals dominate Turner Classic Movies all night, with the compilations “That’s Entertainment!” (8 p.m.), “That’s Entertainment! II” (10:30 p.m.), “That’s Entertainment! III” (12:45 a.m.) and “That’s Dancing!” (3 a.m.). 

Earlier in the day is the class of the annual marathon of “The Thin Man” (9:15 a.m.), followed by “After the Thin Man” (11 a.m.), “Another Thin Man” (1 p.m.), “Shadow of the Thin Man” (2:45 p.m.), “The Thin Man Goes Home” (4:30 p.m.) and “Song of the Thin Man” (6:15 p.m.).

College football today has Tulsa vs. Mississippi State (ESPN, noon) in the Armed Forces Bowl, Ball State vs. San Jose State (CBS, 2 p.m.) in the Arizona Bowl and West Virginia vs. Army (ESPN, 4 p.m.) in the Liberty Bowl. 

Basketball includes Philadelphia at Orlando (NBA, 6:30 p.m.) and Phoenix at Utah (NBA, 9 p.m.).

Men’s college hoops include Utah State at Air Force (CBS Sports, 4 p.m.), BYU at Pepperdine (ESPNU, 5 p.m.), Utah at UCLA (Fox Sports 1, 7 p.m.), Michigan at Maryland (ESPN, 8 p.m.), Nevada at New Mexico (Fox Sports 1, 9 p.m.) and Colorado at Southern California (ESPN2, 10 p.m.). 

In the world junior hockey championship, it’s Austria vs. Czech Republic (NHL, 2 p.m.), Finland vs. Canada (NHL, 6 p.m.) and U.S. vs. Sweden (NHL, 9:30 p.m.).
