Imagine: If only Lindsay Lohan could Tweet from jail.

What gems we could be savoring.

Jail has been an inspiration for some of mankind’s greatest thinkers and so it might have been with her.

Fourteen days won’t give her the time to write “Don Quixote” as Cervantes did, or “Pilgrim’s Progress” as John Bunyan did.

But maybe she’ll be inspired to come up with something as inspiring as, say, Martin Luther King’s “Letter from a Birmingham Jail.”

Here follows quotes from King’s classic work, and the most recent tweets from Lindsay. She’s almost there.

KING: Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

LOHAN:  Joan Rivers and her “stargument” make me believe that she and Michael Lohan are a match made in heaven….

KING: We will win our freedom because the sacred heritage of our nation and the eternal will of God are embodied in our echoing demands.

LOHAN:  in the words of 50 cent.. “You shouldn’t throw stones if you live in a glass house and if you got a glass jaw, you should watch yo mouth”

KING: One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.

LOHAN: the only “bookings” that i’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that i’d be “booking” into Jail… eeeks

Yeah, Dr. King was never quite quoted as saying “eeeks.”
