In primetime, it’s the 1972 concert film “Elvis On Tour” (8 p.m.) followed by “Jailhouse Rock” (9:45 p.m.), “Viva Las Vegas” (11:30 p.m.), “Speedway” (1 a.m.), “Spinout” (2:45 a.m.) and “Live a Little, Love a Little” (4:30 a.m.).

Does the world need another singing competition?

One is here nonetheless. “The Next” (The CW, 9 p.m.) stars Joe Jonas, Gloria Estefan, Nelly an John Rich visiting promising musicians in their own hometowns. See, isn’t that different from the other shows?

In another new network reality show you’ve heard nothing about, “Time Machine Chefs” (ABC< 9 p.m.) involve cooks who have to use primitive equipment.

After its Wednesday premiere, here’s a second episode of the musical chairs show “Oh Sit!” (The CW, 8 p.m.).

There’s no stopping exhibition football with Cincinnati at Atlanta (Fox, 8 p.m.).

Somebody is evicted on “Big Brother” (CBS, 9 p.m.) and there’s the regular mayhem on a new “Wipeout” (ABC, 8 p.m.).

As a new season starts for “Braxton Family Values” (We, 9 p.m.), Tamar looks at fertility options, including using her sister Towanda as a surrogate.

“Louie” (FX, 10:30 p.m.) deals with a rash, presumably a different one from the crabs he caught last week.

Earlier, Martin Sheen makes his debut as Charlie Sheen’s father on “Anger Management” (FX. 9:30 p.m.).

A new steason starts for “Extreme Chef” (Food Network, 10 p.m.).

It’s the mid-season finale of “Degrassi” (TeenNick, 10 p.m.).

Remaining designers have to work in teams on “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.).

And to mark its silver anniversary of its annual celebration, “Shark Week’s 25 Best Bits” (Discovery, 10 p.m.) looks at the best clips from 25 years.
