Culled from the summer Nashville fan event, “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock” (ABC, 8 p.m.) offers three hours of performances and features from Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Kix Brooks, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley and the Zach Brown band. You’ll get to hear two “American Idol” winners, Carrie Underwood (pictured) and Scotty McCreery, and from the brand new judge there, Keith Urban. Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry host tonight’s telecast.

“Bones” (Fox, 8 p.m.) returns for its eighth season with Brennan having been on the on the lam for three months. Except for an over the top choking sequence, the episode reminds us what a very strong procedural it still is. But what’s Ryan O’Neal doing in there?

Last week’s premiere episodes of “The Voice” (Fox, 8 p.m.) did well in the ratings even against rival “X Factor.” So it’s back with two more hours of auditions (and third one Tuesday).

The explorer goes diving again in the conclusion of “Alien Deep with Bob Ballard” (National Geographic, 8 p.m.).
