Joey Fatone, who finished second in season four of “Dancing with the Stars” was second to go on the “Dancing with the Stars” all star edition Tuesday.
Reunited with Kym Johnson, Fatone had been keeping a higher average judges’ score on the two dances so far this season than either Kirstie Alley or Bristol Palin.
And his quickstep Monday to Radiohead’s “Creep,” done up in Charlie Chaplin clothes, got three scores of 7.5 out of 10 from the judges.
The resulting 22.5 was tied with Emmitt Smith and Drew Lachey and did better than Kelly Monaco, who had 22; Alley, who had 21, and Palin, whose score was 4.5 points lower from judges, at 18.
Once more, it seems that home viewers will keep Palin around this season despite consistently low judges’ scores.
Indeed, in the bottom three with Fatone was Helio Castroneves and Monaco, who each won their respective seasons. (On the other hand being in the bottom three is often not based on any scores at all, from judges or the home audience, and is made up by producers to provide drama).
For his part, Fatone, the former N Sync member kept his chin up.
“You know what? I’m going to miss everybody out here because everybody’s great but I had a good time,” he said
Next week two more will be eliminated, but it likely won’t be either Alley nor Palin.
