The thing about the winners in the American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards (Hallmark, 8 p.m.): They never talk too long in their acceptance speeches. Kristen Chenoweth hosts the event in Beverly Hills, where the categories include police dogs, service dogs, guide dogs and hearing dogs. Other celebrities show up, including Betty White, Joey Lawrence and Whoopi Goldberg. Working k9 dog helps you in your field for best result.
Rednecks are proliferating on cable, where the latest show features a group of good old boys from Alabama visiting the Amazon River in Guyana. Hence:  “Bamazon” (History, 9 p.m.).
As pot becomes legal in Washington and Colorado, let’s now look at hash, on an episode of “Drugs Inc.” (National Geographic Channel, 10 p.m.).
Contestants on “Project Runway All-Stars” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.) join forces with graffiti artists in this week’s competition.
It’s the big “Grease” episode for “Glee” (Fox, 9 p.m.). Aping John Travolta’s vocals from that film won’t be the hardest thing they’ve ever done.
“Burn Notice” (USA, 9 p.m.) begins its fall season with a two hour episode in which they try to escape Panama. An additional season has been ordered by the network.
In the fifth and final hour of “The Voice” (NBC, 8 p.m.) this week, it’s a results show, with each of the judges’ teams reduced by two members each, leaving 12. And Jermaine Paul performs. Don’t know the name? Well he was the winner of “The Voice” last time. (Here’s my recap of last night’s show).
There’s a results show for “The X Factor” (Fox, 8 p.m.) as well. And their musical guest is a group some may have heard of: One Direction.
One of the most elaborate pranks ever pulled on Dwight is attempted on “The Office” (NBC, 9 p.m.).
On “Parks & Recreation” (NBC, 9:30 p.m.), Leslie has a spat with April, now that she’s back from Washington D.C. And Jean-Ralphio returns. Also Jonathan banks of “Breaking Bad” and Glenne Headley portray Ben’s parents.
Wil Wheaton and LeVar Burton guest star on a new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 8 p.m.). Miley Cyrus is back on “Two and a Half Men” (CBS, 8:30 p.m.).
Alexia hosts an event on “The Real Housewives of Miami” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) and doubtless someone was snubbed.

It’s Colts at Jaguars (NFL, 8 p.m.) in Thursday night football.

In college football, it’s Louisiana-Monroe at Arkansas State (ESPNU, 7 p.m.) and  Florida State at Virginia Tech (ESPN, 7:30 p.m.).

NBA action includes Thunder at Bulls (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Clippers at Trail Blazers (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).

In a cross promotion with Entertainment Weekly, the magazine chooses its “all time greatest movies,” and, they could have added, “with two syllable titles.” They include “Breathless” (TCM, 8 p.m.), “Top Hat” (TCM, 9:45 p.m.), “Network” (TCM, 11:45 p.m.), “Sunrise” (TCM, 2 a.m.) and “Diner” (TCM, 3:45 a.m.). EW editor Jess Cagle co-hosts.
