The one finalist on the all-star edition of “Dancing with the Stars” who didn’t have a mirror ball trophy got hers Tuesday, as Melissa Rycroft was crowned “Champion of Champions.”

She was the only one of the three finalists to get perfect scores from judges on Monday, but for an “Instant dance,” she didn’t do quite as well as her runner up, Shawn Johnson, who was the only one to score a perfect 30 for the last dance Tuesday, but ended up in second place.

Back in season eight, when they both competed, Johnson came in first and Rycroft third.
Finishing third was Kelly Monaco, who had finished first in the show’s debut season.
Seeming more excited than Rycroft at being named the winner ws her partner Tony Dovolani, who had been a professional partner on the show for 14 seasons without a win. It was also his wedding anniversary.
But Rycroft, who ros to fame as a choice on “The Bachelor” who was rejected on finale night, was
happy as well.
“We didn’t expect it, it was totally surreal,” she told Jimmy Kimmel later.
