The cast for “Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites,” was announced this week, including a number of familiar faces from recent seasons pitting themselves against unknown fans to compete on the Caramoan Islands.
And it occurs another member of the Hanz family. Not Russell, who swore he wouldn’t be a part of the show again, but nephew Brandon Hantz, who struggled and prays during his stint on “Survivor: South Pacific.”
Others joining him on Bikal, the tribe for returning “favorites,” are two others from “Survivor: South Pacific,” Dawn Meehan and the brainy Harvard kid who became a turncoat, John Cochran (pictured left); Andrea Boehlke, Francesca Hogi and Phillip Sheppard of “Redemption Island,” Francesca Hogi of “Survivor: Redemption Island,” Brenda Lowe of “Survivor: Nicaragua” and Corinne Kaplan of “Survivor: Gabon.” In addition, there is Erik Reichenbach, who took part in the last fans vs. favorite season: “Survivor: Micronesia,” and thus the only former fan now returning as a favorite.
The new crop of fans in the Gota tribe is Laura Alexander, 23, of Washington, D.C.; Sherri Beithman, 41 of Boise; Matt Bishoff, 38, of Cincinnati; Hope Driskill, 23, of Jefferson City, Mo.; Eddie Fox, 23, of East Brunswick, N.J.; Julia Landauer, 21, of Stanford, Calif.; Allie Pohevitz, 25, of Oceanside, N.Y.; Michael Snow, 44, of New York; Shamar Thomas, 27, of Brooklyn; and Reynold Toepfer, 30, San Francisco.
The season begins Feb. 13 on CBS.
