Project-Runway11There’s a new twist in the 11th season of “Project Runway” (Lifetime, 9 p.m.). the whole time, the designers will divided into two teams and will be judged that way, with one from the week’s winning team named winner of the week; and a member of the losing team eliminated from competition.

The interpersonal relations of the eccentric cast members has been heretofore a sideshow, and now it’s central to the show how well they will work together. Later in the season there’s a trip to Europe. Added to the judges panel this time is Zac Posen, replacing Michael Kors. Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia are back, as is Tim Gunn, of course.

How’d they arrive at the current crop of designers? It’s covered in a special “Project Runway: Road to the Runway Season 11” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.). Other shows just keep going on with audition segments, most notably “American Idol” (Fox, 8 p.m.), moving to Baton Rouge with its first hour-long show of the season.

What began as the standout new show of the fall didn’t find enough of an audience to stay. Nevertheless, creator Shawn Ryan made sure he created a satisfying sason finale for the end of “Last Resort” (ABC, 8 p.m.).

Leslie gets more women involved in government on a new “Parks and Recreation” (NBC, 8:30 p.m.).

The biggest rated scripted show of the season has become “Big Bang Theory” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

Meredith is pregnant on “Grey’s Anatomy” (ABC, 9 p.m.).

After years of closing his show by saying there was no time for Matt Damon, the actor finally makes an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (ABC, 11:35 p.m.).

In daytime TV, “Katie” (syndicated, check local listings) snares its first coup, an exclusive onscreen interview with misled Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te’o.

“Incredible Crew” (Cartoon Network, 8 p.m.) is a new sketch comedy show for kids, produced by Nick Cannon.

Timothy Olyphant lends a voice as an ex-roommate on “Archer” (FX, 10 p.m.).

Callie Thorne pops up on a new “Elementary” (CBS, 10 p.m.).

Dwight tries to talk Daryl from joining Jim’s new company on “The Office” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

We’re very near the end of “30 Rock” (NBC, 8 p.m.) — next week is the last episode. And for the first time, the documentary film crew working so hard all these years shows itself on “The Office” (NBC, 9 p.m.).

The Sadie Hawkins dance is coming up on “Glee” (Fox, 9 p.m.).

A two night salute to Jimmy Van Heusen highlights some of the scores of songs he released in movies, such as “Moonlight Becomes You” in “Road to Morocco” (TCM, 8 p.m.), “As Long As I’m Dreaming” from “Welcome Stranger” (TCM, 9:30 p.m.), the title song of “Thoroughly Modern Millie” (TCM, 11:30 p.m.), “To Love and Be Loved” from “Some Came Running” (TCM, 2:15 a.m.) and the title song of “Under the Yum Yum Tree” (TCM, 4:45 a.m.). The salute continues Friday.

NBA action tonight includes Knicks at Celtics (TNT, 8 p.m.) and Clippers at Suns (TNT, 10:30 p.m.).

Men’s college hoops begins with Purdue at Michigan (ESPN, 7 p.m.), Tennessee at Mississippi (ESPN2, 7 p.m.), Virginia Commonwealth at Richmond (CBS Sports, 7 p.m.), Murray State at Tennessee Tech (ESPNU, 8 p.m.), UCLA at Arizona (ESPN2, 9 p.m.), Wyoming at UNLV (CBS Sports, 9 p.m.), Stanford at Colorado (ESPNU, 10 p.m.) and BYU at Gonzaga (ESPN2, 11 p.m.).
