“Chasing Ice” (National Geographic Channel, 8 p.m.) shows the dedication of the single-minded photographer even as it pauses to show the beauty of ice on its way out in Iceland and Greenland.
It’s likely no “House of Cards” and doesn’t have the anticipation as the new season of “Arrested Development” (IFC, 10:30 p.m.), but Netflix newest original series, “Hemlock Grove” (by Subscription), is a new horror seriesabout a town of werewolves, with Lili Taylor, Famke Janssen, Landon Liborion and Bill Skarsgard (brother of Alexander). As in the Netflix tradition, all 13 episodes of the season are available for viewing at once.
“DaVinci’s Demons” (Starz, 9 p.m.) did so well in its premiere last week, reaching 1 million viewers, that it has already been picked up for a second season.
