The Winner Is - Season 1Gee, it’s been a few weeks without a network singing competition. So here’s “The Winner Is…” (NBC, 9 p.m.), a competition among six acts, who also compete in skill competition and quizzes as well as sing. Nick Lachey, veteran of a previous singing show, “The Sing Off,” and his own boy band, 98 Degrees, is the host.

Aren’t celebrities interesting! Anything they do is inherently more compelling than the same things done by ordinary people. So here’s “Hollywood Game Night” (NBC, 10 p.m.), in which people like Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Daniel Dae Kim, Martin Short and Kristin Bell play games. Sean Hayes produces; Jane Lynch is host. It sounds a little like that cable offering from a couple of years back, “Celebrity Charades.”

Celebrities will only fit in games when they’re not procreating, as chronicled on the special “Hollywood Baby Boom” (E!, 8 p.m.). Or a more common endeavor: “ET on OWN: Hollywood Plastic Surgery Uncovered” (OWN, 10 p.m.).

Not to be confused with “Camp,” which just started on NBC Wednesday, here’s “Summer Camp” (USA, 8 p.m.) a reality competition that pits men against women in traditional camp games. Winners get $250,000. Matt Rogers, a one time contestant on “American Idol” who has done some other reality TV hosting, is master of ceremonies.

Car repo shows have included some dangerous scenes of gunfire; it may be worse with the higher stakes new show “Airline Repo” (Discovery, 8 p.m.).

Live eviction night on “Big Brother” (CBS, ) will see the end of Alyssa, Helen or Nick. Then another Head of Household contest will be conducted, starting up the process again. And if you’re watching “Big Brother After Dark” (TV Guide Network, 1 a.m.), it’s on an hour later tonight for some reason.

Remember those crazy B-movies featuring hybrid monsters that Syfy used to run on Saturday nights? They’re on Thursdays now, starting with “Sharknado” (Syfy, 9 p.m.), which combines tornados with sharks. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid star. Take that, impending Shark Week.

A good gourmet burger is the task on tonight’s “Hell’s Kitchen” (Fox, 8 p.m.).

Brian Austin Green returns to “Anger Management” (FX, 9 p.m.).

Ray Harryhausen, the special effects wizard and filmmaker who died May 7 at 92, is honored on Turner Classic Movies with his films “Jason and the Argonauts” (8 p.m.), “The Golden Voyage of Sinbad” (10 p.m.), “Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger” (midnight), “Earth vs. the Flying Saucers” (2 a.m.) and “The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms” (3:30 a.m.).
