radioCPRA last minute call to fill in tonight gave me the opportunity to do a lot of things over a show that lasted four hours.

In all that time, I got to fill in the holes of last week’s March on Washington 50th Anniversary Salute, recreate much of the setlist of the Replacements’ first concert in 22 years and sample new collections from Bob Dylan and Belle and Sebastian.

I also got to consider how well Linda Ronstadt interpreted great songwriters (after her announcement last week that she’d stopped singing), and salute the working man (and woman) in a special Labor Day themed set.
