Started with some flying saucer stuff to segue from the previous show, moved to “Million Dollar Quartet” era stuff from Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, whose theological studio argument with Sam Phillips over Jesus, the devil and rock ‘n’ roll was included.
A big chunk of the show was given Superchunk, coming to town for a show Sunday. A few other people coming to town for shows got some time, including the Flaming Lips, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Southside Johnny. Also relived a Shelby Lynne/Alejandro Escovedo show at the Birchmere earlier this week.
