Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna host Megan Hilty, Jackie Evancho, “The Voice” winner Danielle Bradbery and Anthony Kearns with the National Symphony Orchestra. Others on hand will include Colin Powell and Dianne Wiest.

“Mad Men” (AMC, 10 p.m.) reaches the end of its episodes this year; the final season concludes with its last seven episodes next year.

The only new scripted shows on TV tonight are “Believe” (NBC, 9 p.m.), which has been renewed, and “Crisis” (NBC, 10 p.m.), which has not.

Otherwise, there are reruns of “Castle” (ABC, 9 p.m.), “The Mentalist” (CBS, 10 p.m.) and two of “The Good Wife” (CBS, 8 and 9 p.m.).

And instead of animation, there’s NASCAR (Fox, 6 p.m.) in prime time, from Charlotte, N.C.

It makes sense that the makers of “Sharknado” would return with Shannen Doherty in a creature feature called “Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lamprys” (Animal Planet, 9 p.m.). But why on earth is it on Animal Planet? The new production follows another recent lapse there, “Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives” (Animal Planet, 7 p.m.).

Dr. Frankenstein confronts his past on a new “Penny Dreadful” (Showtime, 10 p.m.).

Earlier, Antoinette challenges “Nurse Jackie” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) on her drug use, and Hank has to do a rewrite on “Californication” (Showtime, 10:30 p.m.).

The copycat “American Dream Builders” (NBC, 7 p.m.) ends its first season with an exhausting two hours.

The Browns rush to finish their cabin before they freeze on “Alaskan Bush People: Off the Grid” (Discovery, 10 p.m.).

They have to work on a holiday weekend: “Devious Maids” (Lifetime, 10 p.m.).

The 72-hour Memorial Day marathon on Turner Classic Movies continues with “Imitation General” (7 a.m.), “See Here, Private Hargrove” (8:30 a.m.), “What Next, Corporal Hargrove?” (10:15 a.m.), “Mister Roberts” (noon), “Ensign Pulver” (2:15 p.m.), “Pillow to Post” (4:15 p.m.), “The Password is Courage” (6 p.m.), “No Time for Sergeants” (8 p.m.), “Onionhead” (10:15 p.m.), “The Better ‘Ole” (12:15 a.m.), “Carnival in Flanders” (2 a.m.) and “The Dawn Patrol” (4 a.m.).

In the NBA playoffs, it’s San Antonio at Oklahoma City (TNT, 8:30 p.m.). In the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s Montreal at Rangers (NBC Sports, 8 p.m.).
