The last two episodes of “Game of Thrones” (HBO, 9 p.m.) have been so spectacular, and have moved the story so far forward, that tonight’s season finale may be disappointing by comparison. But there’s a lot to happen, with Dany fighting a whole land with a dragon, Jon Snow and his own problems as winter approaches, and the defeat of Stannis that all are now wishing for.
The season’s strongest one-night lineup also comes to a close for “Veep” (HBO, 10:30) and “Silicon Valley” (HBO, 10 p.m.) as well.

The new “Mother Funders” (Bravo, 9 p.m.) concerns PTA money-raisers, an odd subject for the network, but maybe they overturn tables. It runs in between new episodes of the recently started seasons of “Married to Medicine” (Bravo, 8 p.m.) and “Blood, Sweat & Heels” (Bravo, 10 p.m.).
In the new eight-part “My Million Dollar Invention” (Smithsonian, 8 p.m.), the development of devices from the Gatling gun to the electric chair are explored.
Big in prime time: Game 5 of the NBA Finals of Cleveland at Golden State (ABC, 8 p.m.). The series is tied 2-2.
Otherwise, it’s all reruns on broadcast TV except for the new animated “Golan the Insatiable” (Fox, 9:30 p.m.), “A.D. The Bible Continues” (NBC, 9 p.m.) and “American Odyssey” (NBC, 10 p.m.).
A knock on the door disturbs “Nurse Jackie” (Showtime, 9 p.m.).
Vanessa and Ethan flee London on a new “Penny Dreadful” (Showtime, 10 p.m.).
the connections of porn and business culture are explained on “Happyish” (Showtime, 9:30 p.m.).
The full length 1941 animated feature “Mr. Bug Goes to Town” (TCM, 8 p.m.) is followed by “Mr. Deeds Goes to Town” (TCM, 9:30 p.m.). A reconstructed version of Erich von Stroheim’s silent classic “Greed” (TCM, midnight).
Sunday Night baseball has Cincinnati at Cubs (ESPN, 8 p.m.). Earlier, it’s Kansas City at St. Louis (MLB, 2 p.m.).
The College World Series has TCU vs. LSU (ESPN, 3 p.m.) and Cal State Fullerton vs. Vanderbilt (ESPN2, 8 p.m.).
