The radio show was back and actually broadcasting over the air this week after last week’s mess and things went fast. Started with some Ginger Baker, with Fela Kuti and with Cream, to tie in with his show in town tonight. Then a salute to the New Orleans saxophonist and arranger Harold Battiste who worked with Sam Cooke, Lee Dorsey, Dr. John and Tom Waits.
Played some songs from some who played in town this week, including Graham Parker, Courtney Barnett, Morrissey, Richard Thompson and Prince; and from some who are coming, including Madeleine Peyroux and D’Angelo.
