There’s a road trip on “True Detective” (HBO, 9 p.m.), as Ani and Paul chase a lead up the coast. I’m looking for lots of overhead shots of highways.

“Gunslingers” (AHC, 10 p.m.) returns for a second season.

“Celebrity Family Feud” (ABC, 8 p.m.) stretches the meaning of the word celebrity with Rob Gronkowski vs. Holly Robinson Peete and Bill Engvall vs. Keke Palmer.

Hey, there’s a whole week of this schlock leading up to “Sharknado 3” on Wednesday. Tonight, it’s “Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf” (Syfy, 9 p.m.). It seems like they’re really trying with these titles.

I suppose if you’ve been watching “The Last Ship” (TNT, 9 p.m.) all along, things could be getting very exciting.

Sunday night baseball has Red Sox at Angels (ESPN, 8 pm.).

The third round of the British Open (ESPN, 6 a.m.) is played.

In the CONCACAF Gold Cup soccer semifinals, it’s Panama vs. Trinidad and Tobago (Fox Sports 1, 4:30 p.m.) and Costa Rica vs. Mexico (Fox Sports 1, 7:30 p.m.).
