MINIM_D2_0525.CR2A handful of new pilots are up at Amazon for sampling. Those that get the most votes will go into production. This year’s crop includes:

  • “One Mississippi” (Amazon, streaming) featuring Tig Notaro returning home to visit a dying mother. Diablo Cody co-wrote it with her and Louis CK produced.
  • “Patriot” (Amazon, streaming) about an undercover agent (Michael Dorman) trying to keep Iran from going nuclear, who also writes sardonic folk songs about it. Co-starring Terry O’Quinn and from Steve Conrad (“The Pursuit of Happiness”).
  • Christina Ricci as Zelda opposite Gavin Stenhouse’s F. Scott Fitzgerald in “Z: The Beginning of Everything” (Amazon, streaming).
  • “Highston” (Amazon, streaming), a Sacha Baron Cohen-produced series by Bob Nelson (“Nebraska”) about a teen (Lewis Pullman) with imaginary celebrity friends. Mary Lynn Rajskub and Chris Parnell play his worried parents; Shaq and Flea are a couple of the celebs in the pilot.
  • “Edge” (Amazon, streaming), a particularly violent Western about a cowboy vigilante (Max Martini).
  • Grace Gummer as Nora Ephron in a series about women at a magazine in the late 60s, “Good Girls Revolt” (Amazon, streaming)

There are a bunch of new kids’ show up for votes as well: “Everstar,” “Danger & Eggs,” “The Numberlys,” “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” “Yoyotoki Happy Ears!” and “Eddie of the Realms Eternal”
