Other nominated films include “Manchester by the Sea” up for five awards, “Other People” and “Jackie” each got four.

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, in and out of their “Oh Hello” personas, host the afternoon event on the beach in Santa Monica, Calif.

It’s practically all sports on prime time network TV. The rarest is prime time network hockey, which in this case is Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh (NBC, 8 p.m.) in what looks to be an unseasonably warm NHL Winter Classic.  It’s on opposite NBA action with Chicago at Cleveland (ABC, 8:30 p.m.) and Denotay Wilder vs. gerald Washington in a heavyweight boxing (FOX, 8 p.m.) from Birmingham.

“NCIS” star Pauley Perrette  talks about her stalking incident on “48 Hours” (CBS, 9 p.m.).

“Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” (HBO, 8 p.m.), the comedy with Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, Zac Efron and Adam Devine, makes its premium cable debut, as does last year’s “The Shallows” (Starz, 9 p.m.) with Blake Lively vs. a shark.

Zac Efron’s breakthrough, “High School Musical” (Disney, 9 p.m.) is also on tonight.

The 40th anniversary of “Roots” (Sundance, 11 a.m.) is marked with a replay of its eight episodes today and Sunday.

“Say Yes to the Dress” (TLC, 8 p.m.) takes a three hour look at its best bits from the past decade with the special “10 Years of Yes.”

A senator’s daughter is kidnapped on “Ransom” (CBS, 8 p.m.).

The second installment of “Planet Earth II” (BBC, 9 p.m.) looks at wildlife in the mountains, or what David Attenborough calls “the roof of the world.” Last week’s initial installment, from infrequently visited islands, repeats at 8.

“The Dead Files” (Travel, 10 p.m.) looks into attacking poltergeist in Santa Rosa Beach, Flas.

The celebrities on “Stars to the Rescue” (Animal Planeet, 8 p.m.), a show about animal adoption and rescue, include Selma Blair, Olympian Aly Raisman and the NHL’s David Backes.

On the made-for-TV movie “Infidelity in Suburbia” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), a fling with a contractor turns creepy. Sarah Butler and Marcus Rosner star.

Last weeks bio film “Britney Ever After” (Lifetime Movie Network, 8 p.m.) also gets a replay.

The first episode of CMT’s new series “Sun Records” (MTV, 8 p.m.) gets a replay on a sister station.

Miss Robbie has her first solo performance in 20 years in the seventh season finale of “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” (OWN, 9 p.m.).

Denzel Washington, Jamie Dornan, Keanu Reeves, Whoopi Goldberg and Rag N’Bone Man visit “The Graham Norton Show” (BBC America, 11 p.m.).
