hillaryPerhaps you’re not in the mood for a documentary series about a woman who runs for president, gets the most votes and is still denied. But “Hillary” (Hulu, streaming), which began as a film about Hillary Clinton’s 2016 run was expanded by its filmmaker to include her life story, which reflected women’s rights through many moments in her life, at college and law school, meeting a man who’d become governor of Arkansas, lose re-election, run again, and then run for president. And from first lady to U.S. senator to secretary of state.

Clinton sat for hours of 35 interviews for filmmaker Nannette Burstein to create the remarkable portrait, which gains extra poignancy not for her controversial comments on Bernie Sanders for premiering the day after the last viable woman in the current presidential race stepped down. I wrote more about the series for TV Worth Watching in January.
