Alan Tudyk plays “Resident Alien” (Syfy, 10 p.m.), an otherworldly visitor who is stranded in a small Colorado town after crashing to Earth, based on the comic book of the same name. Tudyk plays the alien well in a series that matches the sardonic humor with his sober mission (he wants to wipe out this planet). For now, he tries to fit in as the new town doctor. 

In the Turkish import, “50M2” (Netflix, streaming) a hitman tries to hide out in a tailor shop. 

Naomi Watts, Andrew Lincoln and Jacki Weaver star in the film adaptation of “Penguin Bloom” (Netflix, streaming), about an outdoors woman who has to adapt to suddenly becoming paralyzed from the chest down.
