Flying saucers are getting some respect, with the second episode of “UFO” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) as well as “Alien Invasion: Hudson Valley” (Discovery Plus, streaming). 

In advance of the second season, which doesn’t begin until early next year, the special “All Creatures Great and Small: Between the Pages” (PBS, 7:30 p.m., check local listings) looks behind the scenes of the series.

“The End” (Showtime, 8 and 8:30 p.m.) lives up to its title with a couple of episodes that wind up the first season. 

The team narrows down suspects on “Unforgotten” (PBS, 9 p.m., check local listings). 

“Modern Marvels” (History, 10 p.m.) explores the world of power tool manufacturing at Dewalt. 

Nicky and Meg are forced to spend an evening in the real world on “Dead Pixels” (CW, 9:30 p.m.).

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (CW, 8 p.m.) returns home the old fashioned way. 

Fly fishing is the plan on “Shahs of Sunset” (Bravo, 9 p.m.).

On “100 Foot Wave” (HBO, 10 p.m.), surfers begin to converge on Nazare in advance of the wave competition.

“The L Word: Generation Q” (Showtime, 10 p.m.) is much more of a soap opera than I recall. 

Raq overhauls her operation on “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” (Starz, 8 p.m.).
