Owen Wilson hosts the 47th season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” (NBC, 11:30 p.m.), a mainstay whose cast has changed only incrementally this year. Gone is Beck Bennett, who was with the show for eight seasons. Also gone is Lauren Holt, who spent last season as a barely seen featured player. Aristotle Athari, James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman have been added as featured players. Kacey Musgraves is tonight’s musical guest.

Founded two years before Walt Disney Company, the Fleischer Sdudios was established 100 years ago, with innovative and popular series of cartoon characters including Betty Book, Koko the Clown, and the first film adaptations of comic heroes from Popeye to Superman. Turner Classic Movies marks the anniversary with a documentary that provides a pre-Disney overview, “Cartoon Carnival” (8 p.m.) and continuing two compilations of Fleischer works. “100th Anniversary of Fleischer Animation” (9:45 p.m.) that begins with their silent era, and continuing with their sound era an hour later.
Last month’s two night 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival (CW, 8 p.m.) is relived in a two part music special that begins tonight, featuring performances by acts that include Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Weezer, Finneas, Nelly, Darius Rucker, Walker Hayes, Cheap Trick and Florida Georgia Line.
