An amusing enough “Saturday Night Live” skit that made for a lousy 2010movie, “MacGruber” (Peacock, streaming) is now a series. Will Forte returns in the one-note parody of “MacGyver,” heading a cast that includes Kristin Wiig, Billy Zane, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott and Laurence Fishburne. 

The new reality competition “Magic Mike” (HBO Max, streaming) is also based on a movie. Ten guys train to become the winner at the end of seven episodes.

Survivors of a deadly flu remake the world in the new series “Station Eleven” (HBO Max, streaming), starring Mackenzie Davis, Himesh Patel and Danielle Deadwyler, based on the bestseller. 

The true crime documentary “Dead Asleep” (Hulu, streaming) looks at a case of a man accused of committing murder in his sleep. 

The long-running soap opera has its own spinoff holiday movie, “Days of Our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas” (Peacock, streaming) with Alison Sweeney, Chandler Massy, Diedre Hall and Eileen Davidson. 

“The Real Housewives of Miami” (Peacock, streaming) returns for a fourth season, with a newcomer among the returnees. 

From England comes “Close to Me” (Sundance Now, streaming) a thriller about a woman who loses hr memory. Connie Nielsen and Christopher Eccleston star. 

Lauren Swickard wrote and stars in yet another holiday romance, “A California Christmas: City Lights” (Netflix, streaming) is about a couple who run a dairy farm and winery until the city lures her partner (Josh Swickard) to the city. Also on tonight, the holiday romance “Christmas by Chance” (Lifetime, 8 p.m.), set in a gift shop. Winny Clarke, Jacob Blair and Celeste Desjardins and a replay of the 2015 “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” (NBC, 9 p.m.).
