Nicole Kidman would not seem to be the first choice to play Lucille Ball in the new film “Being the Ricardos” (Amazon Prime, streaming) — especially after her recent miniseries roles. But she nails the husky voice (and the red hair) in Aaron Sorkin’s recreation of the power couple that invented TV sitcom success. Javier Bardem is kind of a stretch as Desi Arnaz, but we’ll go with it. But J.K. Simmons is genius casting for William Frawley. Tony Hale, Alia Shawkat, Jake Lacy and Nina Arianda also star.
“The Bachelorette” (ABC, 8 p.m.) makes her choice tonight, but nobody expects it to last much longer than “The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose” (ABC, 10 p.m.) after show.

“Fantasy Island” (Fox, 8 p.m.) returns for a two hour holiday episode featuring Eddie Cahill and Lindsey Kraft.
“Grumpy Christmas” (Netflix, streaming) is a sequel to the 2016 Mexican comedy “Un Padre No Tan Padre.” Hector Bonilla and Jacqueline Bracamontes star in the holiday comedy.
